MODELLING RAILWAYS IN O GAUGE John Emerson What readers say about Modelling Railways in O Gauge . . . ' Excellent book for anyone wishing to start in O gauge railway modelling, well laid out and written in a friendly manner . . . ' ' One of the best books on O gauge/scale model railroading I've ever read, and I've read a lot of them. Goes into great detail on the development of reasonable model railroad, not some 2,500 sq. foot beast that will never be built or big flat sheets of plywood, but a very realistic and highly enjoyable model railroad. His unique perspective on how to accomplish this comes through chapter after chapter - I highly recommend this to anyone building or renovating their O scale model train layout. ' ' Well written with accompanying photographs, plans and sketches. As a newcomer to O gauge I found the book most informative. ' ' The author knows his subject and covers pretty well every aspect of modelling in gauge O, A-Z. If you are contemplating going into O gauge this is most definitely the book for you, and most importantly it is bang up to date if you will excuse the slang. ' Modelling Railways in O Gauge is your essential guide to O gauge modelling skills, techniques, modelling suppliers and services. Price : £18.99 (plus P&P) |

BRITISH RAILWAY MODELLING 2012 ANNUAL Editor John Emerson British Railway Modelling produced 1,000 hardback collector's editions of the 2012 annual but never promoted it - although some copies were sold the rest appear to have been pulped so here's a rare chance to acquire one that got away. The usual varied and excellent content before the magazine was short-changed to 'BRM' including Preston in P4; 60 Years of Mike Walshaw's Westport; 7mm Inspection Saloon built by Tony Geary, The 'Princess' and the 'Turbomotive', and Masham in 3mm scale. 140pp Hardback, excellent condition REF: 418 £35.00 |
BRITISH RAILWAY MODELLING 2006 ANNUAL Editor John Emerson What British Railway Modelling could do on a good day and quickly sold out - later editions of the annual were cut back on the number of pages and proved less value for money to readers. Varied content from BRM regulars Tony Wright, Michael C Shaw, Mick Nicholson, John Cockcroft, Graham Tandy, Pat Hammond and Nigel Burkin. 196pp Soft covers, some handling damage to page edges otherwise VG. REF: 419 £8.00 |
